How to activate service on a TiVo DVR

We recommend that you activate your TiVo service as the first step of the installation process. Please visit the TiVo Service Agreement to review our terms of service before activating your TiVo DVR.

NOTE: Want to add a TiVo Stream to your TiVo account? No problem! See TiVo Stream – Use and Troubleshooting for instructions.

You can activate your TiVo DVR at www.tivo.com/activate or add this device to your existing customer account at www.tivo.com/manage. If you are unable to activate using My Account, contact TiVo Customer Support. Please have your 15-digit TiVo Service number ready.

NOTE: If you purchased a TiVo Package Payment Plan, your DVR will arrive to you pre-activated. If you receive your TiVo Package DVR inactivated, continue to enjoy your TiVo DVR. Your service activation will take place within 48 hours of shipment.
