The TiVo Plus Free Trial is available only on DVD-integrated models from Toshiba and Pioneer. Home Media features (Music, Photos, Products & More, Multi-Room Viewing, and Remote Scheduling) are only available with full TiVo Plus service. They are not available during the TiVo Plus Free Trial.
You will not be charged until you upgrade to TiVo Plus service via the TiVo website (www.tivo.com/upgrade) or by calling TiVo directly at 1-877-367-8486.
Once you complete Guided Setup, you will see a menu option called FREE Trial of TiVo Plus service . Follow the on-screen instructions to get started. After 30 days, the option on TiVo Central will disappear. To request the Free Trial of TiVo Plus after 30 days, go to TiVo Central and select Messages & Settings > Showcases & TV Guide > Free Trial of TiVo Plus service Showcase . During the trial, you will be able to try out all the features of TiVo Plus for 45 days.
After you request the trial, your DVR will connect to the TiVo service automatically (make sure you have a phone line or network adapter connected!) to activate your trial within a few hours. Once your trial is active, new menu options will become available to you. The features included in TiVo Plus will have a yellow asterisk next to them during the trial period.
If you indicated that you intend to purchase TiVo Plus when you ran Guided Setup, you will receive full TiVo service and will receive activation reminders for 7-10 days. If you would like to receive the TiVo Plus Free Trial instead, wait until the activation reminders go away, and then you will see the menu option to request the Free Trial.
The trial will last for 45 days - make sure to try all the exciting features that give you control over your television programming.
Once you activate the TiVo Plus Free Trial, there will be a Showcase available in Showcases & TV Guide that will allow you to stop the trial at any time.

Only one free trial is available for each DVR. If the original customer requested the TiVo Plus Free Trial in the last 45 days, the remaining portion of it may still be available. Season Passes and WishLists will be deactivated and will cease to record new programs once your TiVo Plus Free Trial ends. The Season Pass and WishList information will remain on the DVR and reactivate if you upgrade to TiVo Plus service.
When you upgrade to TiVo Plus, it may take up to two days for the service to become fully available on your DVR, and Season Pass or WishList programs may not record during this time. After upgrading, please monitor your To Do List for two days to ensure all of your programs are recorded.
