TiVo support for CEC will work only if the TiVo DVR is connected to a CEC-enabled device such as a TV and/or an A/V receiver. If the TiVo DVR is connected to an A/V receiver (or a home theater system) that does not support CEC, but the TV does, CEC will not work.
When Wake with TiVo button is set to ON, pressing the TiVo button or the voice button enables the TiVo DVR to wake up from standby, power up the TV (if necessary), switch to the right input, and display the TiVo device as the active source. .
By default, Wake with TiVo button is OFF. To enable it, navigate to:
Menu path from HOME
TiVo EDGE TiVo BOLT TiVo Roamio
SETTINGS > REMOTE, CABLECARD & DEVICES > REMOTE CONTROL SETUP > Wake with TiVo button > YES
REMOTE CONTROL SETUP screen with Wake with TiVo button enabled
Note: If your TV or AV receiver supports CEC, pressing the TiVo button will wake the TiVo DVR from standby and turn on your TV/AV receiver. To use this option, make sure that your TV/AV receiver has the CEC option turned on.
